World Smart City Expo 2019

World Smart City Expo (WSCE) will gather over 200 delegates from cities around the world as a showcase for smart city related products and services which will lead to the creation of the human-centered smart city.

WSCE Tech Conference, scheduled for September 4 and 5, will cover the topic of human-centered sustainable, innovative, and connected life, interacting between panels and visitors through SNS and live broadcasting. During the conference, representatives of companies, governments, citizens and academia will make a presentation about the trend and cases of smart city business. Some speakers will take part in the panel discussion, talking about the current issues of smart city.

On the first day of WSCE, September 4, on the Exhibition Hall stage, speakers from global corporation, government, and academia will discuss the skills, policies, and future of the smart city in “Tech Conference 1 Integrated Session”. Nimrod Dor, Director of Mobileye; Kieun Park, Chief Technology Officer of Naver Business Platform; Yong Lu, Vice President of Shanghai Data Exchange; Yong Sik Shin, head of the smart city unit of 5K Telecom; and Micah Kotch, Managing Director of Urban-X will make a company pitch, while Professor Eunjung Yu from Yonsei University will represent academia and moderate.

On September 5, the “Tech Conference 2” People-Centered Sustainable & Innovative Life Session will cover topics of energy, smart grid, smart platform, blockchain, and more. Then, the afternoon session “Tech Conference 3” People-Centered Connected Life will be about home IoT, 5G, healthcare, mobility, and more.

Chelsea Collier, Editor At Large and Managing Partner of Smart Cities Connect Media & Research; Junso Seo, CEO of Concierge Soft; Amy Hochadel, Director of Connected Places Catapult; Daniel Gonzalez Bootello, Director of the Smart City Cluster, a public-private organization in Spain; Nicolas Yates, Chief Executive of UK Innovation Center for Intelligent Mobility ‘Connected Places Catapult’; and Annemie Wyckmans, Professor and Head of NTNU Smart Sustainable Cities will speak at Tech Conference 2.

In Tech Conference 3, Damian Murphy, Global Solutions Architect of Dell Technologies; Oh Sung Kwon, Director of MS Korea; Sam Sangster, CEO of Western City Aerotropolis Authority; and Patricia McCants, President and Co-founder of Michigan Mobile Power, Inc. will speak.

Along with Tech Conference, participants at WSCE will learn and discuss various topics of smart cities through registering for complementary side events, such as the Global Joint City Conference and Smart City Ideas Competition by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), Smart Water Fronts City Forum by K-Water, Smart City Global Project Seminar by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Smart City Innovative Talent Conference and Smart City Innovation Growth Engine Seminar by Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement (KAIA) and much more!

WSCE will provide networking opportunities at an opening ceremony and networking dinner on the first day of the event, an awards and networking party the following day, and a closing and awards ceremony on the last day.
