Leading Cities’ AcceliGOV global smart city initiative is again inviting cities and private organizations to apply for one or more pilot projects that will address urban challenges. These challenges include: weather unpredictability; waste management; wastewater treatment; parking optimization; and cybersecurity.
AcceliGOV is a global initiative designed to accelerate urban innovation by providing access to globally sourced, groundbreaking smart city solutions, at no cost. Each quarter, it selects and offers a suite of vetted pilot projects to cities and corporations so that they may test and implement them. The projects are expected to drive operational efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and improve the overall quality of life.
This year, the six separate pilot offerings are:
- Carbotura – a revolutionary waste management company that efficiently recycles any type of waste liquid or solid through their process called “Waste Regenesis”;
- StrataSite – a cloud-based Active Threat Planning portal designed for emergency responders to develop and share coordinated response plans with community partners such as school systems and large employers;
- Syrinx Environmental – its EnPhytoBox is an innovative water treatment solution that leverages nature-based technology for wastewater management;
- WEO – leverages satellite data to enhance urban and rural water management;
- FLASH – leverages a patented algorithm for precise lightning prediction; and
- Itselectric – the AcceliCITY 2023 Resilience Challenge winner has innovative curbside stations for electric vehicle (EV) charging.
The deadline to apply for the latest pilot offerings is Friday, 7 February 2025. Each solution will host a number of information sessions to present their solutions, review their offered pilot project, and answer questions.
